My wife owns a 2003 Liberty Renegade, and she still just loves it. Ours is
the gas v6, the gas mileage is poor, 18 at best, but a very solid and
dependable car. We live in a very rural area and the Renegade's lights on
top have saved many deer from being rammed by the brush guard. Its easy to
service too. We have used 4wd only a few times but it worked just great.
She has about 60k miles on it now, but we did just get a ball joint recall
notice and have to take it in for that. That thing has a flamethrower of a
heater and it gets to temp faster than any car I have ever owned.

Does anyone have a Jeep Liberty 4x4? Diesel? How do you like it? Any
mechanical issues? If there is nothing bad to report, I'd like to see if
we can go drive one (hopefully diesel) and see if the spousal-Unit likes
it. This car shopping thing is becoming like a modern-day "Princess and
the Pea"; she knows what she likes (or not).
