Hey guys, after Tom mentioned that Jeep Cherokees are still alive in
China, I shipped a friend of mine over to check 'em out! Actually it
just so happens that our company sent him on a business trip to China.
He's a Jeep guy and was real interested when I pointed him to the site
Tom gave us. Anyway, here's his e-mail.

Pull a little cash out of the house fund, 2007 jeep 2700 start at RMB
125,000 (approx. $15.6k). 2700 are 4x4, 2500 are 4x2 come stock with
aftermarket stereos and manual tranny. Weirdest part is the body is
part pre-98 and part post-98 and part grand cherokee. I just don't
get it! Most of them that you see driving around here are all setup
for wheeling with lifts, brush guards, roof racks, and snorkels that
extend above the roof….i guess I am little shocked! i spent 3 hours
driving around central china with a taxi driver that had no English
trying to find a jeep dealer….what a day that was!
