RE: cyl 1 and 7 don't fire

Comp Cams lists the rockers I have for FORD V8 289-302-351W and the studs
for a FORD 302. Sound like they should work together. There is no listing
for a 1.7 rocker for Dodge Magnums which is why I guess Marty got me these.
Maybe the Ford rockers should work or maybe it was a mistake. I'll call him
tomorrow.

If I remember correctly, the studs should be the same ones that work on a
351W... Bernd, didn't we get some for my Crane rockers?

Later,

The stud required (depending on the rocker) should be a 3/8". Keep in mind
that the thread is 3/8" coarse in the Mopar heads. The Ford studs should
work...5/16" on the rocker side is a bit small though for all out
performance.

Did you see the Comp Cams list below? Are those the correct studs? The
part name "Comp Cams 4504-16 Studs 302 Ford 3/8 x 5/16" suggests it's not
and the way the rocker sits on them just doesn't seem right.

I'll check out Comp web site and also call KRC tomorrow since he sold them
to me.

Also as noted below the Comp Cams push rods are slightly larger then the
stock ones. I take it that this is a good thing since you mentioned your's
are 7.050 and corrects the geometry.

Forgot to mention...make darn sure you have the correct valve springs or you
will break them (I did several times). I'm actually running longer pushrods
(Smith Brothers 7.050") to help correct the geometry. You can get away with
the pushrods you have, but again...make darn sure the springs you have are
capable of handling the larger lift.
