No one I know, and I know quite a few Toyota owners, has ever had a problem.
Maybe the newer trucks are having issues (Toyota has reported some quality
control issues at its Texas Truck plant), but by and large the quality is
slightly better. Ten years ago it was somewhat better. 20 years ago it was
twice as good.
