O2 sensor woes

Ok folks good news and bad.

Good news, truck just rolled over 100k MILES.

Bad news my forward O2 sensor is on the fritz and won't budge. Have tried heat, had the bung glowing cherry red. Kroil, candle wax, etc.

I'd also like to give the engunear who decided to put it on top of the exhaust pipe the intelligent design award for taking such care in protecting 1 of the 2 sensors. The one behind the cat is inconveniently located on the side of the pipe, right where it is easily accessed by a rattle gun.

Granted I only spent a little time fighting it with it, since in this new climate of global warming it was cold enough outside to freeze the balls off a brass monkey. And If I have to I can do the plug the new one in and hide it to pass inspection.......

So any suggestions?
