try wrapping them in on themselves. that'll dislodge them from their perch
inside, and just pull up. came off in 5 minutes for me, once i figured that
out.

i sprayed mine down with penetrating oil (let it soak), locked some
vice grips on them, and yanked with all my might. all I managed to do
was misshape them a bit. I'm getting tiredin and around them.
