It has a working Viper fan so I ruled out the fan clutch (I suppose a broken
fan clutch wouldn't cool the juices and create high pressure, right?).
The compressor has only cooled to 60 degrees the last 2 years. I'll have to
find that missing manifold line...how does something like that disappear???

Too much head pressure. Plugged up lines or plumbing, orifice tube, fan
clutch or just a bad compressor.

If it's not one thing, it's another!!! At least a new DVOM cured the
strange voltage readings. Now the A/C likes to relieve itself once in a
while. Out the back of a '93 compressor, there's what seems to be a
pressure relief valve. It's gone off a few times already spewing compressor
oil mist all over the engine bay. I didn't take any pressure readings yet
(the low pressure manifold line seemed to disappear) but are there any
initial ideas what would cause this?
