Well, for one thing, they put the wrong fluid in, which could be your
problem. It should be ATF+4. That is a major difference for our trucks.

Well...I bought the truck in Sept. 2003 so I have no history for it before
that.
  When I had the fluid/filter changed at 269,000km (167,000mi) I have a
feeling
that all they did was replace what came out in the pan as the invoice states

"QTY: 5, ATF+3". I'm not sure what the measure of "5" is. I assume liters,

which is close to US quarts. For $162 they should have changed every last
ounce
of fluid!

I'm just trying to get a few ideas of things I can eliminate before I take
it to
the dealer.
