As in what metals? The same aluminum that's used in the newer transmissions
or the same clutch material used in the newer transmissions? That's the
first i've heard of that.

ATF+4 is a semi-synthetic...In general terms, If ATF+, ATF+2 or ATF+3 was
the recommended fluid, it is now recommended to use ATF+4.
