That's a good one, Gary! LMAO! I'd be finding myself another dealership
that isn't so creative in trying to sell unneeded parts.

Ya can't get much further "outa factory specs" than I am with all my mods
and the PCM just plain doesn't know or care what has changed as long as the
sensor inputs are within a range it can manage. All it has to do is adjust
fuel and spark timing accordingly.

Over time, your sensors or wiring harness may degrade and send false signals
to the PCM, but the PCM isn't gonna quit processing just because you've
driven a lot of miles or the engine is a little looser.

Think of it like your home PC. It's gonna give you the output you expect as
long as your input devices (keyboard/mouse) are working properly. If those
are worn out, changing the processor isn't gonna fix it. :-)
