Re: A strange thing happening with my A/C

Well, it gets stranger!

I took it to the shop and they said I need a new PCM.

Here is their logic, the electric fan is not turning on. When they jumped it
and turned the fan on they say the pressure in the A/C dropped.

Is it possible that the with this fan not working it would drive the A/C
pressure up to the 400 range on the high side on a 75 degree day? That is what the
shop said.

OK, so is this fan thing an on going problem with the 5.9's or all Dakota's
and Durango's

A while back somebody from the list helped me get the fan in the R/T working
by grounding the relay. Now the same thing is happening with the Durango, both
are 2000's

As of yet I have not ck'd the wiring from the relay to the PCM on either
vehicle. I would think since I have two doing the same thing there must be many
more Dakota's and Durango's out there acting the same.

So the fan relays on both were burnt.

Anybody have an idea for what to look for on this. It would seem to me since
the relays are smoked it is more than an open ground wire to the PCM on both
vehicles.

Looking forward your input
