Different engine - it won't handle the upgrades like the SRT4 engine.
However, a good friend of mine has a '03 PT Cruiser with a ported head,
custom 3" exhaust, Stage-1 kit w/blow-off, and custom 3" intake tubing (all
rubber/plastic crap replaced). He runs high 13's with it (and 25-26mpg).
We haven't upgraded the intercooler yet though.

Why isn't there a Stage 2,3 for the PT?

The name "Stage 1" implies there must be a "Stage 2" also, correct? What's
in the Stage 2? How many stages are there?

The injectors and PCM program are upgraded but not quite at the "Stage-1"
kit level.

How about the new HO Turbo? Does that already include the Stage 1 kit?
Started in '06?

Turbowas available on 2002/2003 (starting) years. Fully loaded would be
either the Touring or GT package. Tips...hehhehe...don't try to change the
timing belt by yourself. ;)

Honestly though - if you grab the turbo model, stage-1 + blow-off valve and
a flowmaster puts you into the mid to low 14's (yes...it's been done several
times) ..... And with 26mpg to boot. The 2.4L is a reliable engine.

My wife want to replace our Windstar with an '05 or '06 PT Cruiser. How is
the dependability of the 2.4? Was the turbo available for all years? What
was the fully loaded trim package called? Any other tips?

Thanks,
James
