OK 2 part response

ATF works very well as a penetrant, it's lowish viscosity and high detergent. The acetone will suck water out and help dissolve old grease. I unstuck a engine after it had sat for about 18 years with a couple ounces of ATF in each cylinder. Note this was Dextron 2, I don't know how useful that ATF + whatever it is will be as my Dakota is manual tranny.

I also know folks who swear by beeswax/candle wax and I assume @ the bees as they steal it from them......
