It depends on what the code was for...key cycles and/or run time can change
the status of a code from active to stored (aka: good trip).

When I left work this afternoon, the light was still on. When I
stopped to pick up my daughter, I popped the hood and checked the
fuses/relays on the driver's side. I didn't pull any out, just
pushed on them to make sure they were fully seated. Then after I
came back out and started up the truck, the check engine light was
off, and stayed off for the rest of the trip home. Looks like
something may have been loose, and I tightened it up. Or, it was
just a big coincidence, and whatever was wrong is now right.

Either way, no more check-engine light (for now).
