Had a Hemi, now I have a Cummins. Lemme see. Same route, same trailer. Hemi
at 6400 lbs + 6000 lb trailer on Grapevine Pass = 2nd gear 4300 rpm, 8 mpg.
Cummins at 7000 lbs + 6000 lb trailer on Grapevine Pass = overdrive 1700 rpm,
15 mpg. You pick. Hemi with $350 programmer 1/4 mile 16.1 @ 83 mph. Cummins
with $685 programmer 1/4 mile a majorly traction limited 14.3 @ 103 mph. It's
a no brainer for me.
