You can do whatever you want...if the part or area is covered under warranty
though, svae yourself the cost of parts and let them do it for free.

To keep the warranty, oil change receipts will work just fine.

I prefer to do my own mechanical work. It gives me a chance to become
more familiar with the equipment. However, with a warranty in effect,
will a dealer give me static if I do little things like fluid changes,
brakes, belts, clutches etc? I've never had a vehicle with a warranty
before, so I'm not sure what I can or can't do in order to keep the
warranty. I've heard horror stories, and I've got an oil change coming
up on the Ram.
