It depends on the radio and vehicle.

Newer models ('05+) have inputs for external players (headphone jack or
USB)...along with Mopar Accessory options such as an iPod adapter. The
Mopar accessory items all use a piggyback system but also use the various
internal BUS circuits for communication with the FCM/IPM/TIPM. Depends on
what year/model/vehicle and options your vehicle has.
