The old style EGR valve could do that...however, with the pulse-width
modulated EGR valves that not only respond to vacuum but also throttle
position and load, that's now not an issue anymore (power loss). However, a
bit richer on the fuel will cure the heat, but also raise CO% which also, in
turn, causes the cat's to eat themselves up, which in turn causes the
exhaust system to become restricted...causing a power loss.

Bernd!! I know you work as a mech @ a Dealership, but
you're going to have to convince me on this one..

How do hot exhaust gasses being rerouted back into
the combustion chamber "cool" the the CC?? They
have to be hotter than the ambient air coming in thru
the throttle body!!!

The point where your HC and CO is at the minimum is where you have
max NOx

At maximum efficiency should be where all power plants are run.

Oxides of nitrogen ...their problem.... they cause the brown cloud....

The first designer gas to demonize...

What are their toxic effects..NONE..they precipitate out when it rains
causing increased plant growth...which would use extra CO2...

CO2...the second designer gas to demonize...almost looks like if they would
have left it alone it would have partially solved itself.

Get rid of excess CO2..plant plants..plant plants...plant plants....

About that time they will declare Oxygen a green house gas also.

I have already heard one of the ECO EXPERTS declare that hydrogen is not
a perfect fuel because it gives off a green house gas....water vapor.

Against emission controls...no...buy when the state says you can't use
hydrogen as a fuel because they can't test the car...that is B.S.

The reason...the air from the trail pipe is cleaner than their test sample.

Getting the lead out of fuel was probably a good thing. Once the cat
converters showed
up the engines could perform again.

But the war on lead has now led to failure of electronic devices. Seems a
bit
of lead retards the growth of tin threads in micro circuits..but some little
kid
might lick the inside of your computer, or the computers on the space
shuttle so
all lead bad, bad, bad, bad,...B.S...B.S...B.S...

No wait...the little kids might open up my daughter's cell phone...too late,
it
stop working....tin fingers....

It is one thing not to have a babies' crib painted with lead paint, it is a
completely
different thing to eliminate lead from electronics..but the stupid
governments can't
figure that out.

The stupid governments are in charge of the different emissions testing at
every level.

THAT IS WHY I DON'T LIKE EMISSIONS TESTING.

And now CO2 is green house gas..B.S....it is a LIFE gas...

Emissions testing IS simply another tax. don't believe it, follow the
money...

The SOBs that now run the Arizona progran were run out of California for
fraud.

What a deal...i wonder who knew and blew who...follow the money
