Now taking it a bit further, we'll also be up against F-14s when the
US and EU are forced to go after Iranian nukes. Just like how we faced
a Republican Guard strengthened by the US in the Persian Gulf War and
have faced multiple factions of the Mujaheddin we supported in the 80s
and again in the current war in Afghanistan.

We replace socialists with dictators, help one dictator or rebel
against another when our politics support one, then switch sides when
either our politics or theirs switches, then when they become too
brutal we replace the dictators with sectarian violence. Hopefully we
can replace the sectarian violence with peace.

Sadly the US experiment with isolationism failed with the Japanese
bombings of Pearl Harbor and Manila Harbor, oh yeah, most people
forget about that second part of our entrance in to WWII. We did
pretty good with post WWII Germany and Japan, hopefully the end result
will be at least half as good in Afghanistan and Iraq. Unfortunately
most Americans haven't been too happy with more or less of a 5 year
occupation of Iraq (about what we had in Japan) and few would tolerate
a 45 year occupation like we had in Germany.

Imperialism or it's modern equivalent of interventionism seems to
still be necessary. For those unsure about that all you to do is take
a look at all the US, UN, and EU peacekeeping forces currently in
Africa or set to deploy there.

Wow, this somehow went from a topic related to trucks to a political
rant by me. To bring it back around, if we're lucky Dodge will be
competing against Iraqi and Afghani vehicles ;).
