Subject: DML: RE: Brake Problem

I replaced the caliper on the side that was at issue and put it back
together
with the smoked pads and rotor since I have to wait for the new ones to
arrive.
After a trip around the block with a bunch of full brake stops it seems to
be
better, or at least it wasn't smoking when I stopped and the caliper wasn't
any
hotter then the other side. I noticed the steering wheel turning slightly to
the good side when I jump on the brakes, but I'm figuring that is probably
due
to the super heated pads and rotors on the bad side. I did lube them up well
when I originally put them together a thousand or so miles ago and sanded
the
slides a little to clean off any rust. The lube was still there until it all
burned away, I could see it sizzling off.

Now I just need to wait for another new Brembo rotor and another new set of
Hawk pads to arrive.

Josh
