How do you clock it wrong when there's a alignment pin built into the
tensioner? It only installs one way.

Check to make sure you have the tensioner "clocked" correctly. I discovered
on my '00 when I swapped tensioners, that there were two positions I could
put it. One of them made the belt real loose.

It's a brand new tensioner. And the belt is one of them high dollar belts.
I've tried squirting oil on the spring but, it still squeaks.
I may have to pull ot off and take it back.
