True, I think the '94-'96 Mopar ECUs were a little "hotter" in the timing
department than the '97+ ones.

   FWIW, I think this also can vary a bit from truck to truck. For
example, when I installed a MP PCM in my '96, it was pinging under
load even with 92/93 octane. Fortunately, in my case, a 180 degree
thermostat was enough to eliminate that problem.
