Did you re-use your original V6 Premag motor mounts when you did the V8
swap Don? What year did you specify when you ordered the new mounts? I
ran into this problem with Christine - heh...

Gen II mounts are thicker - to accomidate the extra weight of the V8.
The mount brackets for the Gen I are narrower. So while the mounts look
almost identical - they wont fit

Dirty one on the left is the passenger side original 1989 mount - clean
one on the left was the 1995 stock replacement.

I didn't feel like cutting off the stock mounts and welding wider
brackets on, so all I did was just buy new 1989 Gen I mounts. Thats the
easier way to go. Unfortunatly I have not had the truck on the road
enough to know of the stock mounts will hold up - obviously yours didnt
but that was due to un-natural driving circumstances :)
