Sounds like the converter clutches coming apart. If there's silvery flakes
in the fluid...something has gone wrong.

I just check the fluid today.

* Level is correct.

* Color still pink.

* But smells funny.

* Dipstick leaves a gray streak if wiped on a white towel.

( I am gonna go out on a limb here and say that it appears that there are
ultra fine metallic particles in the fluid. You cant see them with a naked
eye. But if you get enough together it turns the cloth surface gray. )

Still sounds like a torque converter going bad?
