Nothing has come out regarding the future of the Dakota. There has been talk of Chrysler moving it to a unibody frame (ala Honda Ridgeline), but nothing has officially come out. Also, there has been no official discussion of the truck being phased out. Whoever told you that was talking out of their you-know-what.

One of our Chrysler Reps were in last week; Word from him is Dakoa is on its way out. I certainly hope he's wrong this time. The info I'd found was referring to them being downsized; and geting a 4.2L Cummins Diesel.
