If the code is in "Stored" status...the MIL doesn't turn on...it depends on
the type of code and system it's in. Yes, a TQ converter can cause this
(seen it happen) but usually, it will kill the engine completely when coming
to a stop. Does it do this in Neutral or Reverse or just in the forward
gears?

As far as I know I don't have any codes, If the computer stores a code won't
the check engine be lit up? Isn't the procedure 5 on off cycles in quick
succession to get the light to blink and isn't 55 the no codes signal ?
