Ken,

   It should be 5/16-18. I'm not sure on the length; that will depend
on the thickness of your header flange, etc. If you don't have a
depth gauge, just stick a piece of wire or something in there and mark
the depth with your finger, then get a bolt a little shorter than
that. Bolts are pretty cheap, so you might want to get the next size
longer and the next size shorter too; that way if you're off on the
measurement, it just means reaching into your pocket rather than
another drive into town.

   I wouldn't bother with an auto parts store, a hardware store bolt
will work fine, and probably will be cheaper too. I'd recommend grade
5 minimum, grade 8 would be even better. A lock washer might help to
keep it from backing out again.
