Bloody hell man - thats wild... direct center impact like that will sometimes not cause the
airbags to deploy. The crash sensors are usually located on right and left sides of the center
of the bumper... a freak center impact like that can keep them from going off.

Glad you are ok dude!!!

(sighs) well first of all I'm depressed to see another DML'er ditching their Dak. :-( but as
for the water pump - it snot real bad... biggest pain would be spinning the fan clutch off the
nose of the pump.

Also - take note of how the belt is routed - don't remember if the Gen III's have route
diagrams on the rad supports....

After the fan shroud and fan are off, remove the heater hose thats attatched to the pipe that
comes out of the left (driver) side of the water pump. You might need to buy a new pipe. NAPA
sells those. They don't come out real easy. At the very least you should change the o-ring
that seals it. Remove the bypass hose from the pump to the manifold. After that, its 7 bolts
to remove that hold the pump to the timing chain cover.

What are you going to replace the Dak with? Any plans to come out to a BBQ again?
