No, but the manufacturers (and aftermarket warranties) were able to put a
few more clauses in their warranty disclaimers that basically go through the
loop holes in the Magnusson Moss Act.

Yes, proof is still required in warranty claims, but it's much easier to
prove now since the advent of traction/stability control, and improved ABS
systems. They are directly affected by powertrain alterations and, in
accident cases, the Black-Box in the ABS module (on the Chrysler vehicles)
stores a lot of information about how things happened (even if the battery
is disconnected).
