Hey Bernd

Nice to hear from you. I will try that tonight but yes I believe I've smelt
a weird smell coming from my vents....

Geezze I have so much additional wiring under there, my center
console...shit I almost want to leave it.

Thanks pal

Bob

If there is no visible sign of a leak....my bet is on the evaporator. Time
to yank the dash. Try this: Let the A/C system run on medium speed/recirc
(Max AC) for about 5 minutes. Shut the engine off, let it sit for 5
minutes, and turn it back on. If there is a light paint-thinner/rubbery
smell from the vents...bad evaporator.

BTW: Too much leak detector oil is a bad thing in the system.

Hey guys

I used to charge my system and it would last all summer.....then 1
month....2 weeks, now 2 days.

I've been charging myself using the small can's with a gauge. I've put tons
of leak detector in and can not detect any leaks in the engine compartment
and no evidence of leak detector on my passenger side carpet.

Any other ways I can test for a leak? I really don't want to pull my dash
out if I don't have too. Can that evap? be seen if I pull my glove box out?

Any ideas on how I can test to find the leak?

I don't want to take it to a shop....i don't care about cost, I don't want
anyone leaning on my fenders and shit...i have a fresh flame job on her.

Thanks
Bob
