Oh..thought it was on an older Magnum. Yeah, it does make life easier
taking the harness off on the 4.7L.

Hmm. I guess I'll give it a shot without disconnecting the wiring.
This is on a 4.7L, so perhaps a bit different than the 5.2/5.9. It's going
to be pretty cramped for sure, though. I started down that path since it's
the suggested approach in both the FSM and the Chilton manual. (Of course,
the FSM also suggests disconnecting the heater hoses to get to the
passenger's side, which didn't seem necessary to me when I was looking under
there.)

Both sides are seeping a bit, with the driver's side a bit more. The rear
of the driver's side appears to be the worst, with a bit of gunky oil mess
on the bottom rear-most bolt. I picked up a gasket set for less than $30 to
be on the safe side.

At one point when the truck was still under warranty, there was a bit of
leakage and it was attributed to the valve covers being too loose. I'm
afraid that perhaps the gasket was squished if the covers were overtorqued.

Maybe I'll just scrub up the covers on the outside and retorque them back to
105 in-lbs. and see if it helps. That'd sure be a lot easier than
dismantling everything. I'm not in a huge hurry, anyway -- the volume of
oil that's seeping out is pretty inconsequential at this point. In just
over 3k miles the oil level hasn't moved at all from the top of "safe."

Thanks guys.
