Thanks all. The oil and gear oil change went well. new air filter new
spark plug
 things were looking well but i pulled the rope and the plastic disk
like thingie that holds the spring and rope disintegrated!
So I'll be off to the parts store tomorrow to see if i can get some parts.
This tiller did run run before i messed with it. :-[
