RE: Recycled oil?

When I first met my wife, she was driving an '88 Merc Sable that burned oil
badly. About a quart a week. I took over maintenance on the car. From
past experience on my truck, I dumped in a can of restore and switched to
the Valvoline high mileage oil. After two oil changes, her car completely
stopped using oil. I didn't add restore to every oil change after it
stopped using oil, but kept using the high mileage oil. She drove it for
over a year like that with no problems. Then we bought her a newer car and
she gave her Sable to her aunt/uncle cause they needed a car. They ran that
thing into the ground and in less than a year it was dead. But anyways,
Restore works. On my '99 Dak R/T it got to the point where it was burning
1qt between 3K oil changes. Put in some restore and it went back to less
than 1/2 qt between changes. That would usually be good for about a year
and I'd have to put in more restore. I didn't add it to every oil change,
only "when needed". Flat out, it works.
