Drum size

Have a 98 sport 5.2 4x4 and want to replace rear drums.They offer 9 or 10 inch drums. Was 9 maybe for 2 wheel 6 cylinder or what was the determining factor? Don't want to pull wheel to measure till I have parts to do the job. Thanks for any info guys-Al
