My scout called yesterday. He said the frame is cherry, with the
exception of some light surface rust on certain areas. He even said the
body is in excellent shape and that the truck did not belong in a junk yard.

I would love to buy the whole thing... hell it might be in better
overall shape than what I have now. Next step is to see what I can work
out with the salvage yard owner.
