Thanks! At the 1st sign of someone (besides me) saying it was OK,
i just tightened them up and the arms flexed a bit.

I suppose a shim might have been better. The holes line up fine.
The other holes are very slotted, so they obviously don't plan on
it all lining up exactly. Don't know if that's variations in the
dakotas, the hitch, or both.

After thinking about it, I'll bet they set their width
target so that after tolerances it is never too big, since it would
be pretty hard to install.

As a side note, I now only have about 2" clearance getting into
the driveway since my driveway is slanted! Usually when i load it
up i back in so it's easy to unload, but we'll have to pay
attention to it going up forward.

Or just let the hitch carve a relief in the sidewalk. :)

I think i once saw someone put rollers under their bumper for that
sort of thing.
