Bypassed that by cutting pigtail from the switch and soldering the ends together. Seemed to be fine until today, jump in no crank have HVAC fan, interior lights, dash stuff, fuel pump and radio. Called AAA didn't like the wait time and was parked on a bit of a hill but facing across not down...

I'd suspect starter solenoid or ignition switch. If it won't crank,
Try the old "jump the starter solenoid terminals with a screwdriver"
trick and see if it turns over. Have someone turn the key and check the
solenoid trigger wire (smaller gauge wire attached to the solenoid that
comes down from the ignition switch) for voltage. If that is not
energizing when the key is turned... the problem lies between the
starter and the ignition switch, perhaps including the ignition switch.
I would recommend having the starter bench tested anyway.
