>>what did the oil pan look like? any good chunks down there?<<

Oil pan was just sludge. No piston remnants or chunks of metal or anything.
Lots of coolant in there, though. We did find the culprit! There was a 2"
peice of threaded rod in the oil pan. Looks like my carriage bolt for my air
cleaner came apart and some of it obliterated a piston. /sad

>>Check out superchips. They were able to do a mild tune for a friend that
bought a programmer from them. Also, check out megasquirt. The MS3 is
supposed to be awesome. The BMW guys do sequential injection with lots of
boost with it and put down ridiculous numbers.<<

I scored an SCT programmer I'm gonna' use once I get a stocker PCM. There's
a guy out there that does custom tunes if you give him some data to work
with. I'm just looking to find a stocker PCM for a good price.

>>Good luck with your build! I look forward to video of it in action. What
kind of numbers are you expecting?<<

Not sure really. With 9.5:1 compression, cam, and extra cubes it should make
tons of power. I'd like to see mid to low 12s N/A which I think is very
do-able with the 4.56's and the reworked transmission. Gonna' need some
slicks though.
