I still have the 2000 Club Cab 4x4 I bought new in December of '99. It has
the 4.7 with the NV3500 manual. About 6 years ago I re-geared it to 4.10's
front and rear and have had 32's on it since the first replacement of the
factory tires. It's got 118,000 miles on it now.

This thing has been a great truck. I commute in it daily, and get it off
road here in Arizona as much as I can. It's been airborne 3 times, we'll
leave those stories alone for now! I'd hazard to guess that at least 20,000
miles of what's on this truck have been off-road. And I've won money driving
it through stuff that my buddies with lifted trucks wouldn't attempt!

The thing has never let me down. I've mostly done maintenance on it, and
it's a blast to drive. My only complaint is I wish it had more room to
comfortably haul 4 people. But since I only "need" to carry 4 people once or
twice a year it hasn't been too much of a problem. And it's an easy thing to
overlook given how much I love driving this thing. I've been Jones-ing for
a newer Dodge Power Wagon but don't have almost 40 grand to throw at one!

I love the DML. I've been lurking in digest mode the last few years, but
have been a member since joining in December of 99. It has been a great
resource of knowledge for many cars and trucks, not just Dakotas.

Oh yeah, someone mentioned the Silblades. We had a group buy in I think
April of 2000 when I bought a set. I just replaced them this past weekend.
They still actaully wipe quite well but they were getting a little noisy.
That means these things lasted on a vehicle in Phoenix Arizona for 11
years!! That is amazing given that typical rubber wiper blades are toast in
this climate in about 6 to 8 months. They are worth every penny you would
spend on them!
