Howdy! Does anyone have any documentation on the A-518 tranny? I have one
in my garage. The only real problem is that it is in four boxes.
This guy had a Shelby truck that was slipping really bad. He took it to the
Dodge dealer. They decided to tear the 518 apart - completely! They didn't
find anything wrong with it. THEN, they had the bright idea to look at the
torque convertor - THE STATOR WAS FLOPPING AROUND INSIDE OF IT!!! They did
not want to reassemble the 518 without charging him $200 - he told them it
was their problem, they did not see it that way, he filed a complaint with
the state Consumer Fraud Division. By then, he was so fed up with it...
Why these morons did not look at this first, who knows...
Anyway, I bought it and I need a parts breakdown, pictures, or whatever
it takes to reassemble it.
I'm willing to pay for copies to be made!!! Just let me know.
