Yup, its me again. :-)
Following Dave's advice, I disconnected the battery for a few seconds,
which didn't reset the codes, so I disconnected it again and went off to
do other things. I came back 15 mins to a half an hour later, hooked it
up, and checked the codes. All I got was a 12 (and a 55, of course), just
as Dave said. The 43s are gone, and the CHECK ENGINE light is no longer
lit.
