My answer? Wrong. The tonneau I had fastened with shock-cord loops, and
the top fabric was sewn to fit over the bed--about 1 1/2 inches down the
side. Cost? About $120, three years ago. Great fit. Dry, and no one
ever took anything from inside the covered bed (although it would have
been easy enough).
