First thing I did to my Dakota in 94 when I got it was get rid of that
beeper that tells me the keys are in when the door is open. I am still
"fixing to get around to" fixing a switch for the interior light so I can
open the door without it coming on - just like it came from the factory when
I had my Nissan (made in Smyrna Tennessee).
