Beware making ignition mods in CA. Why? THE GAS. By simple putting the Mopar
Perf. SBEC on you'll have to run 92 octane gas with a booster. Otherwise your
Dak will turn into a ping-box at high rpm in 3rd and 4th (5spd). Local
speedshop owner told me that he was present for tests done by Mopar Perf. chief
engineer Larry Shepard at the Chelsea Proving grounds. Outcome: All the
Jacobs stuff is useless with the MP SBEC and CA gas. Dump a bottle of 104+ in
with the 92 octane and everything worked as it should.
