Probably not. I've run one of these setups for over a year and know
several others who do also -- they all ping under load with the MP
computer. As mentioned, however, 104+ does the trick and I use the black
bottle, which costs a little more than the red. It adds about $6 - $9 per
22 gallon fillup. With the best pump gas I can buy at about $1.75/gal., I
can buy unleaded aviation gas for about $2.00/gal in 55 gal. drums.
Unleaded racing fuel of equal octane (Trick) runs $4.50 to $6.00 a gallon.
Neither the avation fuel or the racing fuel is legal for the street (this
price doesn't include federal or state taxes), but I only need the stuff
for the racetrack anyhow.
