I just had to change my oil recently, so I took the advice of the list
in getting off the oil filter...
Once I loosened it, I got the pan under it, reached up, and gave it a
quick twist. Oil poured out of it and into the pan (with very little
splatter... I wouldn't recommend this on a windy day though.) Anyway,
after that initial flow stopped, I just reached up and unscrewed the
filter. No additional oil poured out of it, and I was able to just dump it
out into the pan. Easy, and no mess whatsoever! :)
So, it can be done... :)
