I have noticed the problem in my '95 SLT with the same player. I notice
though that it is probably not wiring. I live in a major metro area half way
between Phila and NYC and I listen to stations from one or the other. Often
the radio can come in clear but looses the stereo signal and changes to mono,
often for a long period. I personally have never heard it happen for so long
on any stereo car or otherwise, but usually when I start moving and the
signal clears up a bit sound comes back. I think the problem may just be
related to the way the radio handles the signal.
