IMHO Dakota oil pressure guages are good for an indication of what's going
on only, and not very accurate. I've had something similar on my '92 with
69K+ miles at low speeds and idle, and it never goes very high (maybe 1/3
to 1/2 scale even when cold in the morning).
If it's a concern you can hook up a mechanical guage at the sender and
check it out.
