What to do!

I have a '95 Dakota that had a int. wiper problem back in March of
1996 and I had a local Dodge dealer do the warranty repair. The wiper
control module, and the turn signal stock/wiper control unit were
replaced. The problem : during a mist spray, the wipers should wipe
no more than 2 times (sometimes 3 at the most!); but the wipers would
sometimes wipe 2 times, sometimes 4, then finally would wipe forever!
I turn them off I had to turn the control to FAST, then return to
off... But even then sometimes they would do a quick WIPE by
themselves...

    Present day...

I have the same problem once again... This time though, I am out
of the 3/36 warranty due to mileage...by roughly 10000 miles. I have
used my wipers maybe 2 times since March '96 (it NEVER rains in
Southern California! :P ). I called the dealer that did the repair,
and they give a 12/12 on all repair work. I am about 8000 miles out of
THAT warranty!!! :( The dealer told me that they could check it out,
then if it is the SAME part, they would contact Chrysler and see if
they could get an approval, which MIGHT be likely by their book. The
service mgr. agreed that the wiper issue is a 'seasonal' item here in
San Diego, and that mileage really shouldn't apply, but does, like
everything else.

This particular dealer has given me trouble in the past, and I have
used another dealer since March '96. If it won't be covered under
warranty, I would rather have my 'other' dealer do the work...

    Comments?? Advice????
