Oh yeah, is there some kind of heat shield I should put on the right rear
quarter panel of my bed to protect it from the flames coming of out my
exhaust???!

I would be more concerned about solving the problem of why the flames
are coming out the exhaust. A street vehicle running on gasoline should
not be shooting flames out the exhaust, unless it is running rich, or is a
high rpm engine. My guess you have a bad oxygen sensor. Race cars
shoot flames because they run alcohol which has slower burner rate
than gasoline so consequently some of the combustion process occurs
when in the exhaust, you shouldn't be trying to copy this with your
dakota. All your doing is losing power and fuel economy!
